BECAUSE IN LOVE, saying very little can speak volumes. A simple curving mehndi design which cleverly uses the empty spaces to enhance the beauty of the artist's handiwork is a gorgeous take on Arabic henna design.

IF VINTAGE OMBRE IS not your thing, a harder, more contemporary look is easy to achieve with  grey-black eyeshadow, smoked up to the browline for added drama and thickly lined lower lashes.  Balance the look with a peachy coral lip and tanned skin.  Brows should be neatly groomed but not overly drawn.  Set it off with some tribal jewellery and bold black and jewel tones to complete the rock princess look.

Color Theory: Orange Dreamsicle

IF THE COLOR OF LOVE were to be something other than red, we suspect it might be orange.  From creamy shades of apricot to vivacious vermillion, orange is a passionate colour.  It's golden tones when set against a beautiful silken sari set off the complexion beautifully. Wear it alone for a romantic, earthy affect, or pair it with another colour for a striking affect.  Any way you choose, designers are embracing orange in their collections and it's showing up on editorial spreads for bridal fashion everywhere we look.

THE FAINT OF HEART shouldn't stop here, these colors are for the bold only. Color, as we've previously observed is making an unapologetic return the Indian fashion scene with designer Manish Arora's nomad-inspired designs leading the fray.  The bolder, the better, bands of colour in indigo, coral, parrot green and lemon yellow bring to mind the riotous celebrations of Holi.

A THROWBACK TO TRADITION, KOHL is a central tool in an Indian woman's beauty kit.  So many love songs have been written about surma, a.k.a kajal, that it borders on cliche.  And yet, here it is again, charming it's way back to the forefront, because for the bride who wishes to make a calculated statement, it is really all one needs.  By bringing the focus to the eyes, on an otherwise barely there makeup look, the single line of surma brings a flush of light to the whole face.
